Marco Asensio is going from strength to strength after recovering from a serious knee injury and, during Tuesday’s training session, he scored a goal of the highest quality.

The 24-year-old exhibited his pace as he glided past some players, taking the ball into the
corner, before coming back inside and firing a left-footed shot into the top corner of Thibaut Courtois ‘ goal.

With displays like this in training, Asensio will hope that Zinedine Zidane is taking note ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Valencia on Thursday.
